This is a letter we received recently to acknowledge the amazing fundraising efforts by the SJT Community in memory of Labhaoise Fitzgerald

You’ve given a family the power to Press Play!

Dear St Josephs Secondary School,

Thank you so much for taking part in our recent Climb Every Mountain Fundraising Event. The money you helped raise will support Barretstown’s vital work helping families to Press Play on childhood again after cancer or another serious illness put their childhood on pause. The COVID 19 crisis continues to have a massive impact on our fundraising, so your support is even more vital and appreciated during these difficult times.

We’re incredibly excited to announce that Barretstown is once again opening its gates and welcoming families back to experience the magic of camp!

On June 4th, we reopened our gates to begin welcoming families and volunteers back to our magical site in Co.Kildare, offering our therapeutic camps and programmes in person once again.

While camp might look a little different right now, we’re delighted to be able to offer the same magical experiences and memories we’ve provided for more than 70,000 campers since first opening in 1994.

Along with camp, we have our innovative online interactive camp experiences, which allow us to continue serving children living with a serious illness who are immune compromised, in their homes and their hospital beds, exactly when they need us most.

Thanks to fundraisers like you, we'll be able to continue to develop these new Programmes, and continue to offer our life-changing, medically endorsed, therapeutic camps and programmes here in Barretstown, and in hospitals and schools around Ireland.

The power of your support will Press Play on a childhood, and a family’s life again, paused for too long because of serious illness.

Thank you again and all your supporters and families, for choosing to support Barretstown with our recent Climb Every Mountain Event. It is hugely appreciated!

Best wishes from Camp,

Stay well!
