On Friday the 19th of October, Beatrice Vaughan, Rachel O Connell, Mia Egan, Ashleigh Mc Namara, Ciara Morris and Sinead Vaughan tacked up and represented St Joseph's in a thrilling showjumping competition in Clare Equestrian centre.

It was a win win situation for our two teams as for the first time the competition was held on a school Day...other years Miss Moran and her troop headed to the showgrounds on Sundays, but this change of venue and day meant that the course was more difficult and there were ALOT more schools from all over Munster.

We had a great start with a clear round from Beatrice on Black Jack, but were unfortunate with Mia on Pickles and Rachel on Tyro picking up four faults.

Team two also had a great start with Sinead riding clear on Tyro, Ashleigh riding clear on Polo but disaster struck when Taz threw Ciara. Thankfully she was unhurt :)

Individual rounds went better with four rosettes coming home to Tulla, and only a time difference costing first place.

It was an exhilarating day...
